We had such a good time in St. Louis! It's nice to see the area being reinvigorated. It was cool to stay in an old historic building but everything updated and brand new. We enjoyed the location in proximity to the things we wanted to see. (Gateway Arch NP, Busch stadium for Brewers baseball, the awesome Botanical Garden and the Aquarium.)
We walked to dinner every night and enjoyed amazing BBQ, brisket, ribs etc. I think that the thing that surprised us the most was how easy and cost effective the MetroLink, light-rail system, was. Super convenient, easy to use and very fast. We took it to the Busch stadium, Aquarium and Botanical Garden. A real deal and very convenient.
It was a little noisy at night with people racing cars on the freeway? Not sure, but we live in a big city so we weren't surprised by road noise on a warm Saturday night. We brought our earplugs.
Free parking and WI-FI was appreciated in the price.
